WHICH CLASS SHOULD I TAKE?
Are you a medical student or healthcare professional / provider needing Basic Life Support (Adult, Child, Infant CPR/AED)? This certification is called BLS.
For those who direct or participate in the management or cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies/ personnel in emergency response, you may need ACLS/PALS.

AHA NON MEDICAL CERTIFICATIONS
The American Heart Association Heartsaver courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs first aid and/or CPR training and a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA),or other regulatory or licensing requirements.
Is the certification you need non-medical for teacher, coach, massage therapist, construction worker, nanny, caregiver, daycare employee etc.., or for general knowledge? If you do not work with patients in a clinical setting, the American Heart Association Heartsaver certification is the correct one for you.
